"Swingers" are people who love the conquest and empowerment of sex. As a couple they are loving and understanding and trust each other. The advantage to swinging is that they can play out fantasies and fetishes that perhaps their partner isn't interested in, reducing the stresses of sexuality in their relationship. Fundamentally the dynamic of their relationship is the same as any ones they just view sex in a different way than most.
For the most part couple who swing stay together just as long as a monogamous couple the statistics are the same for both groups.

Yes. If a couple agrees going into a marriage that there going to be swingers, or if there swingers when they first met, then I could see it lasting. Or if perhaps at some point in there marriage they both agree that its what they want. But that begs the question, why get married in the first place? I can tell you this, it's not for me.

I have been married 20 years. We have tried two MMF and one FFM, we have played strip poker. We have allowed each other to sleep with other individuals alone.

With that said we do not classify ourselves as swingers because we do not live the life style everyday. But a little spice in life can help you keep the spark in your marriage. And the fact that we discussed each encounter prior to it happening made us even closer. I do not have to "cheat", If I feel that I want to do something outside of our relationship, I can talk to my wife freely about it and I may or may not be end up doing it. But the fact that I can discuss it with her makes us not only husband and wife, but confidants as well.

Yes they can last. Naturally, as with everything else, it depends on the couple.
I've know married couples that have been in the swinging lifestyle for more than 20 years.

Ask a marriage counselor. They say that they have never seen a marriage that swings to survive. Unless they quit and seek counseling they will most def. be doomed to failure. The heart sooner or later gets involved and jealousy occurs. Marriage splits up.

I know my marriage wouldn't survive if we were swingers.

Of course it can last. They are comfortable enough with one another and have the utmost trust in one another. They do it cause it's a turn on to each other...not so they can experiment with others to find someone better than their mate. They really do have the ultimate relationship...it doesn't get any better than that!

i do not think so ....there is nothing to a marriage like that...they have nothing to my opinion...marriage is suppose to be sacred between the two people...someday something will happen and they will not remain together....one of them may find someone they want to just be with ....real love....it is not love if they are swingers to my opinion....
