Firstly let me tell you that I am a Muslim living in Pakistan. I am a practicing Muslim but I admit that I do become casual at times in practicing my religious obligations. However, I would like to mention my experience of attending a large gathering of Muslims in the city of Multan, Pakistan which is also called the city of saints.
It was my first ever experience of being in such a religious gathering. It is an annual congregation of Muslims. To my amusement, I found myself in fields which seemed to be endless with humans all around. According to the estimates there were about 2 million participants (no exaggeration at all).
A solicited rail track has been laid down to the site of the congregation and a rail keeps on bringing people coming from all around the country to the site of the congregation. The thing which was most unforgettable was that one could hardly see the body of the train as it was covered all around by the people. People were simply everywhere on every inch of the train. They were inside the train, on the top of it, in the windows, in the doors, on engine, just everywhere and all were there to attend one congregation of religious nature with no worldly attraction or incentives. All this seems difficult to believe in such a materialistic times but still there are people who are above all such trivial worldly requirements and have courage and determination to submit themselves to their Lord.

Probably the day I turned 18, and was FINALLY able to say no to church.

Not what you're looking for, I know, but it was an unforgettable religious experience for me!

well i was a piano play for years and to play and sing the wonderful love of JESUS was the most beautiful thing that ever happen to me,as i got into the church and was strongly in to the ministries with my music i was happy and walking in the light for GOD and could reach others by the music i had in side of me.
and then it happen,i was told to step down and just set on the church pew and not do anything at all,my hope and love for what GOD had given me had gone,my heart had be broken and i was so hurt because the pastor wasn't a man to take over and not a woman.
when that happened shortly after i just grew cold and Finlay left the church for good.
now i live in sin and i don't have that want as much as i once did.
sad.

I am an atheist as was my father. Once I was visiting his grave which is a couple hours drive from where I live. While I was meditating at the grave site, remembering my fathers life a couple Christians walked over to me and started talking to me. One asked me whose grave I was attending. I told him my dads. He asked what religion my dad was. I said he was an agnostic atheist, and he didn't have a god belief. The Other Christian told me my dad was burning in hell and the same would happen to me. I politely told them they were hateful bigots and walked away.

Going to church with my mom when I was 8 and pretending to speak in tongues. I didn't know what the heck they were doing so I just pretended because I thought I was supposed to know what I was doing.

the days that i have seen my children baptised and swear their allegience to God.

my children are spread out, in age, and i never forced any of them to be baptised. therefore, when they did it of their own accord, in their teens, then i knew that they had considered their relation with God.
