I don't know what's causing the swelling in my feet. It seems to happen at work if I wear open shoes. Typically if I wear tennis shoes I'm fine. Not always the case. My feet have been severly swollen for 5 days now. Its rather difficult to even put my shoes on in the morning. What could be the cause of this? I've tried not drinking caffine and drinking water and juice, but that doesn't seem to affect the result. Please help, it's getting really aggrivating.

My boyfriend and I have wondered if I am allergic to something. This problem didn't start occuring until 1. I started to work at a construction company and 2. the pesticide man came. I'm not on my feet. Avoid salt. I also have an injury to my right foot but my uninjured one seems to swell more. I have thought about water retention, weight gain, and too much salt. But I haven't gained weight since I've been here and I don't eat all that much salt.

Also, I try to keep my feet elevated most of the day. I have tried soaking them. There's also swelling in my ankles. It's only been happening the past month and a half and it seems to get worse. I'm not sure if there's a correlations between my feet and my lower back aching, especially when trying to be active. Is that possible?

This can be typically from the heat. My feet swell when it is very hot. It can also mean weight gain. I just prop them up on a pillow and it will go away. Be sure to drink lots of water as well.

Well, first make an appointment with a doctor. If you don't have insurance, go see a county health & safety site for medical assistance.

Might be wearing too tight shoes, too much salt in your diet, high blood pressure, you had stepped on to something barefeet and developed an algergic reaction. If possible, think back and find out where those feet gone through to get this reaction.

This is called edema, elevate your feet after work and see if it goes down, open shoes must be restricting circulation. Extremities swell first if you have health problems like heart disesase. If you are retaining fluid or have high blood pressure your feet can swell. If it is gone in the mornings or after elevating for a period of time after work, good. Just stop wearing what is causing it.

Try not eating salt. Salt makes you retain fluid like you wouldn't believe. This has happened to me before, and within a few days of not eating as much salt, I lost around fifteen pounds AND my ankles/feet returned to their normal size.

Watch out for anything canned, cheese, or processed. This is very hard to do. Basically eat frozen or fresh.

YOU PROBABLY HAVE CIRCULATION ISSUES. MAYBE WEIGHT IS YOUR ISSUE...IF NOT THEN I BELIEVE IT HAS TO DO WITH THE WAY YOUR BLOOD CIRCULATES YOUR BODY
