It is the bottom rib. I figured it would be ok if we were gentle, but I don't want to hurt her anymore than she is.

Ask her..... if she wants to try, go ahead, but do understand that she may not based on the injury.... after I had surgery i was SOOOOOOO afraid to get hurt, so I waited quite a while... it is kinda psychological ha ha ha.

If you have ever had a broken rib, you would know it hurts to breathe. And if you were any good at what you want to do, that's really gonna hurt hurt. Get reacquainted with your hand for a couple of weeks and let her recuperate, geez.
