Snail Mail is the old fashion mail. However some things have changed but others have'nt. Example junk mail, the need to register for added security etc have not changed. Because of the much higher speed of interaction and the multi media capabilities of the electronic form, the distinction between written language and the spoken form becomes blurred. You can joke and communicate a lot better with the email form using emoticons for example - hopefully with a lot less misunderstanding.

The US Postal Service.
It's considered slow compared to electronic mail, but really isn't worse than should be expected to move a correspondence item from one location in the country to another.

It's when you put pen to paper, write a letter, seal it in an invelope, write the persons name and address on the front, put a stamp on it, and put it in a post box, then wait for the postman to deliver it. Depending on where it's going...it could take 10 days. Where as the new way.....electronically, takes less than a minute.
