Let's see, there's Denial, Guilt, Depression, Alienation just to name a few, but I suppose seeing as you think homosexuality is a disease, you've probably already prescibed said treatments.

If you're really asking this and not doing the old... "oh no, not me, my friend is the one who did the thing I really did" game, you're not sick, you don't have a disease. despite what many people tell you, there's nothing wrong with you.. Being gay is like being tall. Imagine thinking of hieght as an illness.

You are what you are. I know you want to be "like everyone else" but that is not going to happen if you are truly gay. I have several friends who are gay. They are delightfully creative and generally good people. I am straight but see the value in the individual. Keep a low profile until you get this straight in your head. Those who are truly your friends will accept you for yourself. The rest dont matter.

Homosexuality is not a disease, so of course it cannot be cured. You can either be who you are (homosexual) or suppress your sexual orientation and pretend to be a heterosexual. The latter has made a lot of people miserable in the past, so I don't recommond that option, but the choice is yours.

yes there is. there will be alot of people trying to tell you that it's ok and that u were born that way but i admire your honesty and your maturity in understanding that it's a choice. sadly, it is a disease, just like drug addicts, alcoholism and pornography are. Increasingly, studies from universities such as John Hopkins School of Medicine, Albert Einstein School of Medicine and Masters and Johnson point to environmental factors as major causes. Specifically a child's perception of family dynamics, a traumatized condition; rape, abuse, and other traumatic events may cause a gender identity conflict at a very young age, thus resulting in a belief that they were "born that way".don't be too hard on yourself though, everyone comes across a problem sometime in their life that they can't handle themselves. even grown-ups do and that's why i admire you. with God's help and counseling, He will see you through so that you will become what God intended you to be.
