For me, and it isnt about agreeing with the war or not. Its agreeing with your country. The government will do things, such as they always have done that they view best for their country, for reasons they always can not always tell you.
Let us go back in time. Sept 12, 2001. Do you not remember how you felt? Ok, sure you do- Afghanastan was a needed invasion to break up the Taliban, and its terrorist training camps.
Ok, your upset about Iraq. Let me summarize this for you.
As a immigrant, who gained citizenship, about 12 years ago, I can say that there are times in the war, that I have been upset, for varying reasons. But guess what. When I was granted my citizenship I took a vow. An oath. That I would pledge my loyalty to America, its government, and the people of its country. ( and in English too! ) Sometimes, I have to make myself remember my pledge when I have these not so good thoughts about Iraq.
My conclusion is this: the fact that we can even talk about this, for one, is a blessing from God. In other countries, you would be considered an enemy of the state and jailed, or even killed.
Americans take their country, and their "rights" too liberally. They do not understand what the world is really like. They dont see people getting killed in public for reason such as questioning your government. Lets assume the USA invaded Iraq for the worst possible reasons. Guess what YOU have the power to change it with your vote.
When was the last time you voted? They say about 20 percent of the people who can vote, do vote. But yet, they want to scream and yell about the government, but do nothing about it. I dont want to pick on you, becuase I dont know you, specifically. Im talking about averages.
Its not about if the guy next to you is a Bush fan, but didnt serve in the war. Its about the politicians in power, and the power to change who has the power.
Good day to you.

Here's my thing..I'm a Christian, and I DO NOT support the war in Iraq. I do NOT think we need to be there at all. Please don't assume that ALL Christians support Bush in this war because we don't. I completely agree with you...there were no wmd's, and what I don't understand is that we supposedly started the war to find Osama...yet all of a sudden it turned into finding Saddam. I do not agree with war, I don't see why we are there, and what's the point of us spending billions of dollars to rebuild a country WE blew up??? Anyway my point is that not all Christians support this war...heck, not even all the people who have family in the military support this war. I've even talked to Soldiers that don't support this war. If you don't like the way Bush is spending our tax dollars...start writing your senators and congressmen.

While I agree mostly with your point, I have to say that all of the SHOUTING and exclamation points weaken it quite a bit.
I also think that you should have pointed out that many on the Christian Right see this as a war against Islam. That would of course be the most serious war crime in U.S. history, and the use of U.S. troops in such a war would be an act of treason.
Can you imagine the depth of delusion of a person who writes the kind of nonsense the guy above me wrote? That's a frontrunner for "today's most ignorant response".

Oh the christian right was too busy casting spells asking 'god to bless America" as we bombed babies in Iraq to actually read up on the issue pre-war. If you read anything but US news, you'd see why the rest of the world was against this.
Go fight? Oh heck no. They wouldn't do that either. They'd be too busy praying to god to do it for them.

I'm not a fundamentalist, I think that's who you mean. I went. There were 8 terrorist training camps we found in Iraq. We found lots of weapons of mass destruction. Would you call a missile that can kill 1,000s weapons of mass destruction? They had the Samoud missile in violation because of its payload and range. They shot at our aircraft every day before the war and would not give us access to certain sites. Would you call that an act of war? Just shooting at us once is cause enough if you ask me.

How many of you anti-war cowards put your money where your big mouth is and went to Iraq to fight against the US forces, if you truly believe America is so wrong to fight the insurgency there.
That's what I thought. So shut up.
