I just watched the Cheetah girls movie that Disney ran last weekend with my kids (ages 6 & 7). The song lyrics are fine, the dancing isn't too provocative but the costumes may be a little more than you want for your daughter. I personally would never let my kids wear anything like that. I don't think animal print is appropriate for kids, but I'm a probably considered old fashioned.
I haven't been to a concert, but there will be a whole lot of dancing because they choreograph all their songs. I'd go ahead and take your six year old and let her have a great time, but if she wants to start dressing like a cheetah girl, i'd put the kibosh on it!
Have a good time!

They are perfect for any age. Their songs are fun and upbeat, so they keep children entertained. All of their songs are about friendship. They are great!! I am 15 and I even have their cd. There is deffinitly nothing wrong with their songs at all. You should go see them. Here are some of their lyrics.

I am sure that you will find them perfectly age appropriate for your six year old. have fun on their concert!!
And they lady above me said that their clothes were "trampy" I don't see that at all. They are trendy, but they don't they arent revealing at all. And I don't even see the "girl power" life lesson. It talks about that a little in their songs, but i think that both movies are about being there for your friends and you can have friends that are different from you. They have several lessons, and I guess girl power is one of them considering the songs "cinderella" an "girl power".
Well here are pictures are some of their clothes and you can tell me what you think.
this wasn't in the movie, but it was a concert. I don't see anything "trampy" in this. I would say that the short skirt is the worst, but it has something under it.

oh, looking through the pictures reminded me of several of the lessons in the movie.
It doesn't matter if you are a foster kid, white, black, mixed, rich....or anything else, you can still be amazing.
Don't try to be better than everyone else
be there for your friends
girls can be just as powerful and guys
don't give up cause you can reach your dreams
and many many more

Considering most of the groups out there, they're pretty tame. They try to project a positive self image and "girl power" type attitude. My 6-year-old step daughter loves them but she doesn't get the life lessons the music and the movies are trying to portray.
Oh, and my daughter thinks the clothes are pretty "but a little trampy". Not sure where she picked that up but I was glad to hear it!

she's in basic terms an actress and is meant to play any functionality that she is surpassed. i doubt that any of the little little ones who seem as much as her as a functionality style in cheetah ladies would be staring on the homestead bunny, and each and all the older people who concept she became into too kiddish can see that she does have an grownup ingredient. besides she became into in basic terms doing her activity.

I think it's all dependent on what you veiw as inapropriate. Their boobs and crotchs aren't hanging out, their lyrics are clean and decent, but their outfits seem a bit tight and clingy, personally being a bit of a feminist who believes in women not being judged on their looks i don't know that i'd introduce MY 6 year old to them, but my 9 year old step daughter loves them and they let her watch 'em. But then again, her mom also lets her dress like a 15 year old, which i am SO against (hell, i'm against 15 year olds dressing like that!) Check and see if disney princesses on ice are coming to town, it would be better suited for her age, but i guess that's just my humble opinion.

From what I could gather on the disney website, the show is more geared towards preteens and older girls. But the concert may be all ages.
