I think the texture of the apple bits is not compatible with the soft rice and creamy stuff when cold ,but warmed up it seems to blend to a nice mixture and in my opinion improves the overall experience !.

I say make your own , creamy home made oven cooked rice mixed with double cream, or youghurt for the dieters and fresh cooked apple, half pureed and half roughly chopped, go on girls its simple and a lot cheaper.

My father in law likes it hot, I like it cold and my father has only tried it cold and doesnt like it anymore.
