Isn't science supposed to proove everything? then Why is it proving itself wrong? Is what we studied at school wrong? Why did we spent our days and times on those exams and studies?? I really don't understand!

because some scientific facts can't be proven like relativity....it's only a theory.....man are not advanced enough to carry out the experiments to prove it right.....it's just a thought , an opinion.......what we study in schools might be proven wrong in the future....anyway, enjoy science....don't take it so seriously.....n' think after studying it......it'll be lots of fun!!!!

can u do some research? Thats how science progesses, by proving stuff wrong. for e,g the discovery that white light is a mixture of light waves, red , green, blue. Before Newton it was thought that the green, or the red, or the blue was the mixture,. If u run white light thu a prism it breaks up into individual colors, (spectrum) if u then split off one of them, say, the red, and run that beam of light thru another prism, it doesn't break up to anymore differing colors. Therefore it's the white thats the mixture. And the red , green, blue that's the parts.
Now, if you do an experiment at home that proves beyond doubt this is wrong, science will gladly give up the Newton view. If on the other hand you fail to do that, then keep trying, when you succeed let the boffins know of it.

I think you will be experimenting for a long time though.

Cheers.

Science is NOT proving itself wrong. You've got to understand that, unlike your religion, science keeps progressing and improving its discoveries. Nothing is "for good". Everything can be bettered, and it'll never know it all. Now, if religions are stating such things as "Darwin was a liar" or "Evolution is just a theory" or "Evolution is wrong", then you've spent your days learning a bunch of lies. Darwin was right (for all we know so far, at least) and evolution is so far the best explanation we've got for most things. And if "Evolution is just a theory", it's "just" a theory from a scientific point of view. In scientific terms, a "theory" is not the same as for us laymen. In science, a "theory" is a set of well established facts. So you see, when you call Evolution a theory, you're calling a "set of well established facts". See how churches like changing it all?

No, science is not supposed to prove everything. Science seeks to provide explanations for natural phenomena through the scientific method.

The idea is that if we can develop these explanations, we can predict what will happen in similar cases (if an apple takes 1 second to fall 7 meters, how long will it take to fall 12 meters?).

I haven't clicked on your links for fear of viruses, but science is not absolute. If evidence comes along to disprove a theory, that theory is discarded in favor of a more accurate theory. Einstein proved Newton's theories were inaccurate. Actually, he provided theories that were _more_ accurate than newton's theories, but newtons theories are a lot simpler and for everyday purposes they're close enough, which is why they're still taught in school.

Bottom line, in order to disprove something, you have to come up with something better.

No science isnt supposed to prove everything i dont think the majority of scientist would come up with such a comment.
Science is about exploring life, existence, trying to discover the undiscovered and trying to learn new things or produce new methods that can move manking forward.
You sound a bit delusional in your question, science in its entirenty isnt proving its self wrong or right, i respect science and i think it is about being open to all possiblity's.
Science is everything you see around you! Try engaging with the world man and you will start to understand life better.

Are you a dumbass or something? That's the whole point, science is supposed to find out new things and improve on existing ideas. The fact that 2 of those links go to Harun Yahya isn't very encouraging either. You really need to do some reading on the definition of science.

They are using the scientific method to prove that the scientific method is wrong? That makes no sense at all!

What is happening to Science? It's evolving as we learn more and more. Theories, or at least parts of theories, will be proven wrong and will be replaced all the time. I don't see what the scandal is if someone proves that Einstein was not all-knowing lol

Science is not proving itself wrong.

It is simply refining the theories based on knnowledge provided by better equipment and fuller understanding of the underlying processes that the original theories were based on.

Your question is almost the same as saying why do cars prove that old speedometers are wrong because they don't go high enough.

The old speedometer is still correct, it's just that more modern cars can go faster.

It is sad that people take science as a complete truth so often. I tell my children straight out not to believe everything they learn in school. I try to remind them that science is fairly new. That we are always discovering new things that disprove the old. That as we gain new technology we will also gain new answers. I don't look to religion or science to tell me why I am here. I look inside myself for those answers.

Hmmmm...

So why is that, if science is wrong, so many people run to it for help when the going gets rough - religious types included?

Could it be that something as small as a toothache is enough to make somebody turn from God, or Allah, or whomever else they worship, forfeit their promise of eternal life and go running to a dentist to benefit from science?
