Steak is usually a good start. Bottle of wine to go with and a dessert - but you can offer yourself for that!!!

Grill steaks. Most men love steak. Baked potatoes, and a salad. For dessert Brownies, with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, and nuts.
For a perfect steak: take it out of the fridge about 1 and 1/2's before cooking time to get it room temperature. About 30 minutes before cooking time rub it with virgin olive oil. Then cook it about 5 minutes on each side for rare, 7 on each side for medium, and 8 or 9 for well done. Perfect every time.
Baked potatoes, get the red potatoes, wash them really good dry them and cut 2 slits in them not all the way through, cut small pieces of garlic and insert in the slits, rub with butter and wrap in tin foil. Bake about 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes. These taste like candy you can not taste the garlic in them. It just makes them sweet.
These dinner suggest makes it easy for clean up too. If you don't have a grill cook the steaks under the broiler, just remember to add a Little bit of water in the bottom of the pan, this prevents the grease and the oil form the steak smoking up the place.
Good Luck and enjoy

I don't know if your boyfriend likes what i'm about to suggest - or whether he's already eaten somethin else and im answering far too late but...
My girlfiend once put together a 3 course meal of - prawn coctail - cannelloni - and cheese cake - the first and second dish don't generally go together but it was lovely... i think that presentation is eveything - you could get away with Burger King if you set it out properly - that's what will melt his heart :D

If I really wanted to feel special because my girlfriend cooked me something, it would probably have to be spaghetti. I know it sounds cheesy (sorry, no pun intended) but that's the whole point. The reason why everyone gets the secret "I love you, and I'm showing you by making this" is the whole lady and the tramp scene. You'll be brought back to when you were kids while still being together, make sure you sit yours and his chairs together so that it's not hard to feed him once and a while, while the two of you eat your meal together. I hope this helped, good luck with your life.

It really depends on the man, and how well you can cook. any man will like Spaghetti with garlic bread. Ah baked chicken will also work. Grilled Salmon is a good choice as well. But Spaghetti is the only thing I think will work always

My faforite dish is Thai coconut curry, with prawns or chicken.
Sphagtti is great too, but not Bolognese, thats boring.
Lasagna is impressive to make for somebody, and there are so many variations. You can prepare in advance and then just stick it in the oven when he arrives. That way you have more time to take care of him...
