You connect
* the "Video Out" of the DVD player into the "Video In" of the VCR
* the "Audio Out" of the DVD player into the "Audio In" of the VCR
* the "Video Out" of the VCR into the "Video In" of the TV Set
* the "Audio Out" of the VCR into the "Audio In" of the TV Set

Now, when you need to switch between the VCR and DVD, you must change the input channel of the VCR. There should be a button on the remote called something like "Input Select".

Yes you can. Cable, VCR, DVD, TV. Lots of wiring.

Or just up date your VCR and DVD and get one with both in one unit.

You can even hook your stereo up to your TV. Better than going buying another item for your sound.

With right cables you can do anything

if your TV has lots of input find one and hook up there, if not plug the DVD player into the back of the cable box. now your system will work only you have to turn off the cable box to use it though.

Depends on if you have a TV, you could use the composite cables and component cables to the different audio and video connectors. The composite cable or the yellow:(video), red and white (audio). The component cables are the green, blue, red, cables for (video), but however you will need the separate composite cables for audio, just the red and white. Hope this helps.

You run your cable in to your VCR, then to your T.V. , run your DVD player into your VCR. To use your DVD player hit 002 on your VCR remote, it should say av back on your t.v. screen. Then use your DVD remote to run your DVD player. when your done press 001 on your VCR remote, this should take you back to where you started. your VCR has to have power on for your DVD, and your cable to work.
