Call around your area for a consultation with a stylist. Find out if they charge for the consult, some do and some don't. See who really knows what they are talking about and not just trying to be a prima donna with you. They should look at your face shape and eyes, neck, body shape etc. Also, what your lifestyle is...what are you willing to do to style your hair? Do you want a wash and go style or do you want to spend some time on it? These are the questions they should be asking you. You want them to do that so you won't look like you have a small head compared with the rest of you. If you don't see them doing that then go to another place until you find someone who is going to give you the time you need

look at pictures of girls with the same face shape as you.
also the girls hair should be similar to yours (fine, thick, curly, etc.)
then decide on a length that you like.
word of caution- round faces should not have square cuts (especially if the length is at your chin)
your are better off with a shoulder length cut (collar bone area) with a wispy angle on the sides(will help to change the round shape to more oval). as for the bangs, try a sweepy bang instead of straight across bangs above your eyebrows( this will only make your face look more round)
if you are not ready for the layered look yet, just start off with the angle and sweepy bangs, leave the back one length.
hope i've helped good luck

Don't cut your hair too much because of your round face! You should try chin length and you should definitely try bangs, they will visually extend your face! But the bangs also mustn't be too short, because they will do the opposite. Length up to your eyebrows will do the job!
After all, any change is good! Just go for it!

Why don't you try a layered bob, this cuts down on the volume and gives some shape that will work well with your new bangs

definately don't bob it it'll make the face more round. do short layers. the links below are of Reese Witherspoon, who also has a roundish face. Hope it helps.

do shoulder length hair. Hair too short is boyish and could make you look butch. Go with shoulder length but no shorter than your ear lobes. And yes hair probably shorter than your ear lobes will make your face appear more round.

The 5th or the 6th ones could seem nicest on you and pass with your face shape as much as i admire the 1st one that decrease would not in shape you via fact katie holmes has a sq. shape face and it would not seem so good on different face shapes
