You don't need a cookbook, just use your browser.

those are two of my favorite recipe websites. at epicurious you can save recipes with your personal notes.

One of the easiest fish to prepare is tialpia. It is very mild, relatively inexpensive and easy to find in the US now. My husband has a super easy way to make it.

Take the defrosted fillets, rinse, pat dry. Spray a foil covered pan with pam or spread with light covering of oil, then put fillets in skin side down. Next cover with a mixture of mayo and dijon mustard and sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top. bake at 350 for about 20 minutes until flaky.

Anything by Rick Stein will be okay as he is the most probably the best fish cook in public view at the moment. Try his web site for a few recipes, just google his name and follow the links.

Rick Steins are pretty good. Maybe a tad complicated sometimes.

All the best fish dishes are the simple ones, try this one it's very yummy and a good one for your first attempt:

Take a large fillet of salmon, butterfly it, leaving the skin on, smother the fleshy side with basil pesto, fresh or shop bought it doesn't matter then fold the fillet onto itself, like a sandwich then wrap in tin foil and pop it in the oven for 20 mins - ish.
Serve with spinach and dauphinoise.......... mmmm!! x x x

Good luck. x
