I've heard that there are Christian Indian missionaries in India. Some of them have been subjected to persecution, and even death. I would encourage the Christians reading this to pray for them and their ministry.

Preaching the Bible is not a bad thing. Converting forcibly is definitely unforgivable. I have been living in India and have never seen anybody forcibly being converted.
Modern India owns a lot to christianity and its missions. Most schools and colleges in India were run by Christian Missionaries. I know a lot of non-christians who have studied in such institutions. They were not converted and neither do they want to.
There are a lot of vested interests, where religion is used to gain political foothold, and this works only among the uneducated. This will no longer exist once all Indians are educated

Hindus are being told the Gospel. No one is being converted. People convert by themselves. The only people doing any conversion work are the Hindu Fundamentalist RSS, VHP and Shiv Sena who forcibly convert people back to Hinduism by threatening them with death.

No, I didn't know. Now I want to cry. It breaks my heart to see such a beautiful culture in danger of becoming like some other countries. I truly hope that it doesn't happen in my lifetime. I couldn't bear to watch it.

Maybe they were told that it's cheaper to give their money to one god instead of thousands.
Of course, they'd have to start out by defying the God of Not Giving Money to Other Religions...
Come to think of it, forget it. It ain't happening.
