My main concern with Ford is its after-sales service and the expensive spares and maintenace costs.
Concerns on Baleno include its dated looks, boring interiors and higher price.
Plus how are these cars in terms of fuel efficiency?

The Ikon flair and the Baleno are equally dated products, but the Ford has managed to retain its flair somewhat. The ikon has better looks and a more balanced profile but the Baleno is clearly wider-something you would appreciate when travelling with 5 people. The Baleno has a 1.6 L engine whereas the Ikon has a 1.3 motor. The Suzuki motor is eager to rev and the Baleno is in a different plane as far as performance is concerned. The Ikon is 3 second slower to 100kmph. Fuel efficiency is almost similar but the smaller engine of the ford drinks less.Air conditioning, Ride etc.are better in the Baleno.The gear shift is a joy in the ikon and the handling is precise. The Baleno has a numb steering and a rubbery shift quality. If you love driving fast, take the Baleno. If you travel five, take the Baleno. Choose the Flair otherwise. By the way I'm an automobile engineer and a car enthusiast and I drive a Baleno- heavily modded. I'm planning to buy a Flair for my sister, if that helps. Now you get where the priorities lie. If I were you , I'd go for the Baleno.
I find the interiors of Ikon as boring as the Baleno.
Besides the higher price, the Baleno offers cheaper spare parts and service.It's fuel efficiency isn't bad either.
Take my word , my uncle had an ikon and had a load of headaches!!!!

In between these 2 go for Baleno.
Maruti has big servicing network. Spares and parts are available at every nook and corner in city.
I've not heard anything good about Ford Cars so far.
If you have choice and option go for Honda City. Best car in this segment.

Tata Indigo is best and if you want to choose the best between the two of your choice is Baleno.Don't go for Ikon because my brother in law is having one and worrying about it daily
