Would it be ok if a mom of two had a mohalk? And if not why?

By the way I don't work, I am lucky enough to be a stay at home mom. And this is a hypothetical question so please don't be nasty to me.

I say go for it. You can always grow it back if you don't like it. There is nothing wrong with having a Mohawk if your job doesn't mind. First off be yourself and screw what everyone else thinks i always say.

Well, if she wanted to be a hideous freak, sure, she can get a mohawk (or even a "femhawk", where the sides are left fairly short and the crest is very long).
Age is not the issue, it is the reasoning that would cause you to do this. If you feel that you are not getting enough attention, try something a bit less drastic first, like freakish makeup ... at least you can wash that off when people start hiding their children from you.
The only way to "get rid of" a mohawk is to cut the rest of your hair off, too, making you "bald", not "cool."

No, honestly saying, I think it would be a terrible influence! Can you imagine your children doing the same and getting good jobs with hair like that? Besides, at a certain age, I think it's good to show yourself as mature and simple. And mohawks aren't exactly "mature" and "simple"... anyway, the point is, mohawks are usually leading to people of not very good company and not good company is not going to bring anything but trouble for your kids and even you!

Anyway, hope this helped and good luck!! =)

No, after a certian age you need to tone down your look and a mohawk is definitely not toning it down.
When your 16 its fine but when you are older, have children and are facing the real world with a mohawk, people arent going to take you as seriously.

I would say not to do it, but you are your own person and have your own style. I have three kids, and when my oldest daughter sees pics of me when I was younger with crazy hair she freaks. (I had blue hair and other colors at different times) She says moms shouldn't look like that. *even though I wasn't a mom at the time!

Kids tease other kids as it is, and if their moms and dads look quirky, that gives the rotten kids more ammunition to use.

It would be cool for the children but not right for a mom..because all the moms would be talking about you saying that you aren't mommy-like...so I'd ratther not..it's your choice but talk to your children about it first!

If she wants to be stared at, ridiculed and unemployed, sure. Not to mention a *lovely* role model for children.
