If you have the Recycle Bin enabled, it just a matter of opening it up and looking for the file you want to undelete. As long as none of the data was overwritten, you should be able to recover it.

If you don't have Recycle Bin enabled, you can always use a disk editor. Be careful about installing any file retrieval software after you've deleted something you want to recover. You are liable to overwrite the file you want to recover and then it will be irretreivable. If you have any version of Norton Utilities, you can use the installation disk as a boot disk. Just modify your BIOS to to start up using Norton. You can then use DISKEDIT, which comes with Norton, to access the FAT table and look for your file's filename. When you delete something in Windows, it usually just removes the first character and doesn't actually delete the file. If you replace the character that was removed, it will restore the file as long as you haven't written over any of the data.

If it is still in your recycle bin, yes. Otherwise, no. The space on your hard drive has already been partitioned to be used for other things. It is possible for someone to pull bits and pieces of information off a harddrive if it hasn't been written over, however I think its really really expensive.

You can restore the file from your recycling bin if you have not
emptied the same. To do so, open the recycling bin, select the file you want and click restore.
