Why wouldn't it be?? Unless you are surrounded by strangers or people you didn't trust.

if u are alone in the room and the sheets are clean and the room is not cold then its very ok.but i hope u know that is a quick way to invite mastubation into ur life and thats a very dirty habit

Were it not due to propriety's requisites, I'd do that always. Safe, yes. (Except when there is a fire and you have to run out of the house quick! That will be "decent, no".)
