Just curious, 'the benefits of using word processor' - as opposed to what exactly ? Typewriter ?
Benefits for me :
1. Layout make easy
2. Spell/Grammar checker and Thesaurus
3. Various fonts you can use
4. Templates
5. Mail-Merge when combined with database

It looks more professional and you can correct any typos before you print it instead of using correction fluid. Much better.

It is quicker and easier. It is neater, as well.
