The way it's looking now, it will probably still be in Beta testing, microsoft is a little bit behind schedule.

Until last week, most beta testers including myself were doubtful whether MS can really deliver a stable product on schedule. However, after using the latest pre-RC1 build of Vista (which I'm typing this from incidentally), one can say that they're finally making progress and will be able to deliver a final version - to business customers in November, and to the rest of us in January 2007.

the beta version is already out now..
you can download it at microsoft.com
the vista version is the 'real' vista...
