For sure Spanish. Think about it: starting from Spain ending to South America. While Italian is just mostly Italy.

Italian is spoken only in Italy, while Spanish is spoken in Spain and in the whole of Latin-America (except in Brazil and a few smaller countries).
So, what do you think?

By far Spanish is much wider in use: Spain, all of South America except Brazil, all of Central America, and a few others speak Spanish.

Spanish is spoken by millions of more people--in majority of South American countries, in Phillippines (where Spain colonized it for 333 years), in USA and of course, in Spain.
Italian is spoken in Italy and by much smaller number of immigrants to other parts of the world.
