I have been seeing this girl for several years but every so often she acts like she could care less. Recently I took her and her son (he's 15) along with my niece (she is 15 also) to an amusement park I got the kids a walkie talkie and figured they would go do whatever and me and my girlfriend would do what we wanted, well to make a long story short she took off with the kid and left me sitting by myself all day!! like I said she has done this before if there is anyone else along I feel like a 3rd wheel so how should I handle this situtation?

To begin with, tell HER how you feel when she does this. She may not even realise she is making you uncomfortable. Communication is the key.

Maybe it's that your going at this from the wrong angle. A great way to get a single parent or even just a single is to go for their friends or kids. Get to know them better, and they will put in a good word for you. She may really love her child, and I good way to show that you love her would be to be part of the family, once they can't live with out you, they won't. Just remember to not come on too strong to the kid, you might be mistaken for creepy or a child molester. Instead just act the way you have always acted, but just remember to help out around the house, with cleaning up, or maybe just buy the son a gift. The mom will obviously warm up to you instantly when she sees that she can trust you to be around the kid. She probably wants to find someone that will be a good rolemodel for him. Play catch with the kid and do dad stuff. If she can see you in a father role, she will see you in a lover role. I hope this helped, good luck with your life.

Get rid of this loser. She is using you big time. I'm sure you will find someone nice out there. Go to hotornot.com for some leads.

well, talk to her straight and get to know her true feelings and tell her your true feelings too...and if she considers you just a friend then look for someone rather than wasting your time behind someone who does not care

She's using you and doesn't have what it takes to tell you that she is not interested in you.

Try talking to her about it, she is the only one that really knows her motives.
