Because powerful and successful women want to be treated like a man. All a man wants is a helpless little doll at home. Most men also want the mother of their children to stay home and raise kids while most successful women in our society want to start crushing through the 80 hour work weeks a few days after giving birth. I listen to a lot of Dr. Laura.

Men may feel intimidated because traditionally, they are the ones who are supposed to provide for the woman. It can really hurt a man's ego if you both go out to an expensive dinner, for example, and you pay for it because you think it may be too much $ for him to handle, or because it is an actual fact that it is too much $ for him. It probably makes him feel "small." Men want to be the ones who buy the house, the car, the dinners, to impress you and your friends/family, so they look good. To make him feel more comfortable, perhaps have him pay for more things that are less money (like the less expensive dates), whereas you'd pay for the less frequent but more expensive dates, or have him buy you small gifts here and there, that you can appreciate, like little earrings or whatever, to make him feel good. For out-of-town trips, offer to split it, or you can pay the airfare, and he can pay the meals, or something like that. Another option, just have a heart-to-heart talk and ask him if he prefers to pay for stuff or not. Another tip to make him feel more confortable, don't rub it in that you are successful and have more $ than him (not saying you are) but little things you may do (behavior, comments) may be interpreted by him in the wrong way, and he may feel belittled and intimidated. Don't shower him with expensive gifts that he cannot reciprocate. Whatever his limit is, make your limit the same, until you're both more comfortable with the discrepancy in your wealths.

it's because they are used to be ahead, to be in control. they can't stand it when someone else is doing better than them, especially women. this has happened to me too, but not due to properties that I owned, but due to what I know. I've asked a guy once why am I, apparently, off limits to guys my age, and he replied that guys want to feel superior in their relationship.
So, the only solution would be to find someone who is, in fact, superior to you.

men are afraid to be inferior. they feel they should be the bread winner of a relationship. successful women are intimidating. find a man who is either successful himself or that is self-confident enough not to let it bother him

men have the urge to be superior than women. that`s why. u should try not to be so upfront and let someone know u better(and vice versa)before u tell them how succefully u are.
i know its unfair.but that`s the way life goes.
