I agree with Ladybug, I mean, a lot persons constantly complain about the misbehavoir of young children today and how their is bad Parenting already...let's not have it worse...I mean toddlers in some areas learn those words...but NOT all tots...and really isn't that a good thing that are not? I mean, who wants to hear a 2-year old with a sailor mouth. It brings new meaning to "potty" training. I guess most parents don't want them to hear it used like it's cute or funny even though the Adults sometimes do that very thing (ha ha even though when I see a small child use a curse word, I do laugh, sorry! :)

Some people are extremely sensitive to vulgarity. Having worked on the 'back' side of a bar and around construction workers for a large part of my life, I am impervious to vulgarity. It is so common in that lifestyle that I no longer notice it. If a word slips out on a live broadcast, chances are I would not pick up on it until the press made a fuss about it the next day. We do however have to protect those who are averse to it, and of course, the children. They will hear it soon enough, but why contribute to it if we don't need to.

My heavens, I never have been flashed, but I did unintentionally flash a few folks once. I was in the hospital some time back and decided to take a stoll to the vending area. Well, I wasn't thinking about what I was wearing and, let's just say that those hospital gowns don't leave a lot to the imagination on the backside. The nurse came up from behind me and put a blanket over my shoulders . . . I was wondering why it was a little drafty back there!

It's to appease the general viewing audience. Even though most kids learn what bad words are eventually, church going ladies, ministers, and parents don't want their kids hearing curse words at all. However, I'm not sure if you've noticed this, but the rules are beginning to bend. I heard someone say bulls**t the other day, and nearly fell off my chair. And this was on regular television.

People use "curse words" when they do not have the vocabulary to express the point they are trying to make. This may be due to their anger keeping them from thinking correctly. People also curse for the shock factor. "Curse words" are simply not necessary and need not be uses, so they are censored.

They sound trashy but could simply be what a beaver builds. I say chicken hockey and they don't censor that go figure. As far as nudity in some cases be glad it's not all over the place freely. Have a good one:-)

Because Yahoo is an American corporation. You have freedom of speech as long as you don't say the seven deadly words. Or do you?

The continuous usage of profanity and vulgarities shows others how ignorant you really are.
Yahoo censors these words to protect your and others sensibilities.
