If not how can you make it taste nice?

what about adding some fresh shaved parmesan and some garlic butter or some toasted almonds and fresh ground black pepper

Try this...boil some pinto beans and bacon end pieces, and about ten minutes before they are finished (taste them for tenderness) add some quartered tomatoes, onion, garlic, cilantro, a few jalapeno peppers (not too many!), a little salt and pepper and then serve. The bean husks should have split and they will be lovely.

i had a sister-in-law that use to take ketchup and onions and mix them with green beans and boil them down to almost a mush. they did taste good but it took a lot of nerve to eat them.

It does taste tasty....add some cummin with the sauce..its a fantastic combination.:-)
