Hey, I have long thick hair too (except now it looks thinner 'coz I've had it layered). But it's OK if some falls out. Girls, on average, lose 50 to 150 hairs a day, mostly unconciously. For guys, it's just 50 to 100. Hope I helped!

I think it's especially normal for thick hair. It COULD be a sign of hair breakage but you can usually tell by looking at the hair that's coming out and seeing if it is coming out by the root or is just broken off from a longer piece of hair.

It can either be over processing or change in your diet. At your age it sometimes happens to because puberty. That's only if it is ALOT coming out. I was getting handfuls once. But a few strands like everyone else says is the norm.

It's normal for you to experience hair fall as many as 10 strands a day. Anything beyond that might be symptom of unhealthy scalp.

Hair loss is normal whether in thick or thin hair for as long as you're not losing all of it. :p
