A true "sociopath" cannot change. If he have been convicted in a three strikes your out jurisdiction - then a third time should send him away for good - lets just hope that whatever that third strike he gets does not cause any serious hard to anyone - but sadly that will probably not be the case.

...once a sociopath, always a sociopath? There's a lot of "crazy" out there. Unless you live a sheltered life, you have to deal with crazy people all the time. We all live amongst people who should really be locked up. Are you scared of this person? Do what you have to, to guard yourself. I've got a really nice baseball bat, that will even things up pretty good.

Since he has been in and out of jail so many times, I doubt that he will ever change even if he could. I believe that Sociopaths can change. It's a long process, life long, but they have to truely want to accept the conditions that change will require.

A true sociopath or person with antisocial personality disorder will always be a sociopath. They may change their behavior to avoid trouble if it suits them to do so. If they also have problems with impulse control it may be more difficult for them to stay out of trouble. They sometimes mellow a bit as they get older. But change, short of a miracle or act of god - no, they don't change their personality.

If they do change, it is only a the following change: They stop harming others, but never become nice to others and never help them in any way.

no, but there's evidence they slow down after they're 40. One of their problems is that, generally, they don't learn from their mistakes. Another one is that they don't think too far ahead.
