Not as long as the can was still sealed, not bulging. You could have ate 10 years from now if the can is still good, it just loses its flavor: starts getting a metalic taste.

i would to be honest, cant let some nice meat go to waste, and cooking will kill bacteria at high temperatures. Plus the pork doesnt know they went out of date yesterday do they? they dont suddenly think " well we're out of date lets go off.....splaaaat" dates are only a rough guess they are probably good for another day or 2!

Just hope nothing will happen. I don't think anything will happen if the expiry date is a few months before Aug 2006.
If you get diarrhoea or other symptoms, quickly see a doctor.

not necessarily..
things which cross the expiry date dont really spoil..
its nutritional value is reduced..
but it wont harm unless and untill it is spoilt..
but as u say it smelled ok and the taste was also fine,
i think itll not harm..
but no benifits either..
next time keep grub at ur place and avoid expired things..
u may be luck this tim..
not always..

If the can looked normal, then no. I would say you only have to worry if the can was bulging.
