Respect is some thing you earn from others.
If you demand it it will be denied to you.
Learn the meaning first then show other respect.
You then may have the respect of others.

Some people just have no respect. Remember Aretha Franklin?
Aretha Franklin - Respect
What you want, baby, I got.
What you need, you know I got it.
All I askin' is for a little respect
when you come home, baby.
When you come home,
respect.
I ain't gonna do you wrong while you gone,
I ain't gonna do you wrong 'cause I don't wanna.
All I askin' is for a little respect
when you come home, baby.
When you come home,
respect.
I'm out to give you all my money
but all I'm askin in return, honey,
is to give me my proper respect
when you get home, yeah baby,
when you get home.
Ooh, your kisses sweeter than honey
but guess what, so here's my money.
All I want you to do for me is give me some here
when you get home, yeah baby,
when you get home.
R-E-S-P-E-C-T,
find out what it means to me.
R-E-S-P-E-C-T,
Hey Boy, T-C-B.
A little respect ...
Respect is an attitude of acknowledging the feelings and interests of another party in a relationship, and of treating as consequential for the self the helping or harming of the other. Though most commonly referring to interpersonal relationships, it can be used between animals, groups and institutions including countries. Respect does not necessarily imply deference, but a respectful attitude rules out unconsidered selfish behaviour. The concept of respect predates, and does not rely on, the existence of the concept of rights.
Respect is sometimes loosely used as a synonym for politeness or manners, though these are behaviours, whereas respect is an attitude. Intercultural differences in behaviours, self-perception and outward appearance may result in the unintentional appearance of disrespect.
Many movements have at different times claimed respect as the core element, including raver-culture, Islam and the United States Marine Corps.[citation needed]

i respect all religions. and also criticize when ought to.
have learnt a bit from many, and have learned a lot from budhism zen, which is more individual and deprived from histories.
i will only answer back in a stronger way when people use religion as a flag to stamp on someone's face. or when it's a personal insult.
appart from that, i have friends from every single religion, excluding ortodox or fundamentalists of any kind.

As a Christian myself- i would not refute the guy who posed the question you gave as an occasion cos it is genuine. Scientists won't be able to coach the international has existed for over a million years or what ever they say. whether- if a Christian grow to be to submit a something that announces atheists must be wiped off the face of the earth and that Christians ought to have 0 tolerance to atheists and that i grow to be to come back for the time of one among those question- i might vehemently refute it, because of the fact sort of approach is incorrect and is going thoroughly opposite to what the Bible instructions us (to love our enemies)

most people disrespect out of lack of knowledge on what they're disliking. Just like most racists hate what they can't grasp knowledge or acceptance with. there's a huge difference between disrespect and disagreeing. Y
ou can disagree with a person and not disrespect them. but some people who lack knowledge also take disagreements as disrespect. Thus many of the people who're causing the negativity purposely wanted to do so and do it to cause grief.

This is actually a generic question.
There will always be people who disrespect others. Plus rules are made to be broken so once someone says 'Please respect other people's religions', you can be sure as hell there'll be some people who go against that.

Religion was created by humankind, and like everything we do, it only causes discrimination, hatred and wars. Best go with your heart and stay away from the (as I call it) brainwashing. humans I can say during evaluation, have perfected lying.
