The reason for the retreatment because my current x-ray shows that I still have little nerve in the canal. The x-ray are taken by my new dentist. Also I do not like my old dentist because he sucks

Do you have symptoms? How much is "a little?" Is there nerve left in the canal or is the nerve all gone and the canal filled a little short? How short? Which tooth is it? How do the other canals look, if it is a multi-rooted tooth? How has the top of the tooth been restored?

If the root canal was done a little while ago and you are not having problems, I'd leave it alone. An x-ray finding does not constitute a diagnosis. If you indeed need a re-treatment, I would consider going to an endodontist. Removing a root canal filling is tricky business and the dentist can end up doing more harm than good if he/she is not that good at root canals in the first place. Yes, you end up having to pay. How much would depend on the relationship between the treating dentist and the endodontist and on how many canals need to be re-treated.

It is not common. One of two things. She has weak teeth because of her genes. Or she has not been brushing her teeth correctly or for not long enough. Too many sweets can damage your teeth. But if you brush twice a day and sometimes after you have had something to eat you should not have any fillings at all. Question your daughter otherwise by the time she is 20 most of her back teeth would have gone. Very important.
