Not all Christians do get upset if God is referred to as Allah. Many of them know the both names are the same refer to the only ONE Creator.Christianity has emerged from Arab land, and Christians in Arab countries use Allah for the calling God.
Some Christians are sensitive to any thing comes from the Arabs or from Islam, just blind fear or hate, may be....but definitely without proper understanding that the meaning is the same.

No, all Christians must not only speak English, but that is NOT the issue here...

Many times a word that means something generic in one language takes on a specific meaning when transferred to a different language. For example, when I was in Russia I spent a lot of time with Russians that also spoke English. The Russian word for hat is "shopka (I don't know if that is spelled correctly)." In Russian, every hat is called a shopka. But, when these Russians were speaking English, they would use the English word for hat EXCEPT when they were talking about the Russian fur hats with the ear flaps. Those became shopkas in English. Both Americans and Russians alike used this generic Russian word in English to describe a very specific item.

The same is true with Allah. In Aramaic, Allah is generic for God. Christians, Jews, and Muslims alike use this word to refer to their God when they speak in Aramaic. If I were speaking in Aramaic and wanted to refer to God, I WOULD use the Aramaic word Allah. However, when this generic word is brought to the English language, its meaning changes. Allah becomes as specific of a name as Jehovah. Allah then means "the God of Islam." For us to call our God "Allah" in English is to say that our God is the author of the Koran. As Christians, we understand that Muslims claim to worship the same God we do, and we reject that belief. We believe that "Allah" is a false God merely claiming to be Jehovah. That is why we cannot stand to hear our God, Jehovah, called by an imposter's name.

Because Allah is not our God. When you say Allah you don't mean god, you mean the god of the Muslims.

Christians do not worship Allah. And all Christians do not speak English, but they know the name of their God. Allah in any language refers to the god of the Muslims. It is a big deal.

It is really sad and ignorant that most Christians don't know their own book. Jesus was Jewish and used words in Aramaic. Even in your own book he does not refer to God as Jehovah. The letter J does not exist in Hebrew. So Jesus did not call God Jehovah. In Aramaic the worr for God is Allaha. Even the King James version of the Bible when Jesus according to the Christians cried out to God he said Eloi, Eloi not Jehovah. Eloi sounds similar to Allah from two semetic languages. In the Middle East if you speak Arabic you say Allah whether you are Muslim, Christian or Jewish. So please go and study and stop all these lies based on ignorance and predjudice. Peace

Allah is the "god" of the islam "bible" the Quran.....who is not the same God as the Father of Jesus the Living God as refered to from the christian's bible,......the proof may be found if you take the time to compare the two books, Allah demands people to worship and serve with no promise of an eternal after life with him. Allah states according to Muhhamed in the Quran in surah 2:195 that allah hates sinners, the bible states in romans 5:8 that :"God demonstrates love to sinners" and that" God is love "in 1 john 4:8

There are so many contradictory points between the two dieties that oppose each other that it is impossible that they are the same. The quran also states for islam to exterminate the people who do not worship and follow Allah......on the other hand christians show kindness and love and let everyone make their own decision on who to worship,....there may be persuasion there but not physical force, ........did you know that even this very day there are non islamic people being decapitated for not believing in their god Allah? I don't know if you know revelations very well but that kind of sounds like the anti christ type decapitations that people must chose who is their god or else.
Please my friend don't assume that you know everything,.....first of all you are not God, Allah is not God, Yehweh(I AM) is God and father of our savior Jesus Christ. Please becareful what you declare without appropriate proof.

please check out the product of Allah here on this web site:

If that is the case why not just say God and lose the name Allah?
Would that be an option for you?
No-one likes being forced to believe this or that. Religion is a very personal journey.

Actually Christians and all the world are upset from the muslims who keep talking about God when in fact they don't know anything about him. God in their vision, is a criminal, who likes to see people suffering and getting killed by suiciders, they talk about God whom do u think for a while is a vampire. Where in fact, our God is lovable and peacefull, who asked us to forgive each other and to bless our enemies. So u can conclude now that it is not a matter of using to world Allah or God, it is an absolute difference...

Because for them, Jesus was white, spoke English, and only looked like a hippie cos that's how people dressed then.

The rift between Muslims and Christians isn't so much the English or Arabic word for God, but the Muslim interpretation of the Christian trinity-doctrine as blasphemously polytheistic. Anyone hung up on "Allah vs. God" after hearing it explained isn't worth your time.

Because the God of the Christians is Jehovah. Christians worship the God of the ancient Hebrews. Allah is not the same God of the Christians or Jewish people. They are free to worship who they wish, but Allah is in no way to be confused with the Almighty God Jehovah and his son Jesus.
