I set up my profile on a dating service, a text with with some nice photographs. I think the photos are ok: they show me at my best (ok, I'm not Bradd Pitt, but not ugly either). I tried to chat with those women whose profile attracted my attention, sent messages, flashed, etc., but never got an answer. I wrote a typical profile first ("I like this and that, I'm looking for... bla, bla, bla"), then I tried to be somewhat more original and wrote few different profiles. Still no answer. However, looking in chat I see how all these nice ladies are online and chatting with someone else! Hmmm, ... that's frustrating! So, I'm really wondering what is it (images aside) that sparks the attention in a written profile of online dating services in a women and that prompts her feedback?
If you are a lady, tell me about your experience. If you are a man and were successful with your own profile, can you tell me please what you think that prompted her to answer you?

Just don't make yourself out to be someone you're not. Be prepared to deal with more than you may be ready to handle. On line dating is precarious at best.
