No its not. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) wore his hair grazing the shoulder. The only criteria is that a believer should dress himself differently from the believer of other faiths,as a form of identification, for example during Prophet's time the other believers donned moustaches thus the Prohet (saw) asked the Muslims to wear beard. And the list continues..

Islam lays principles on morality like no other religion.

there has to be distinction in the outlook of a male and a female. The costumes should be different. The face of a male should be like a male and vice-versa.

Keeping long hair is allowed as long it meets the following criteria:

1) It should not be as long as a woman's hair. It should not give your face, a girlish look

2) The hair you keep should not resemble any of the fads and fashions or culture of any other religious belief. For eg many guys tend to copy the 'hair-stlyes' of the Hippies, celebrities.

The Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) himself had long hair but then it was limited till his ear lobes. Which i believe is the limit.

but if you keep long hair saying it is a tradition of the Prophet, you should follow his tradition completely which will only be completed by keeping a 'Beard'

depends on how long. I think it is haram if it is longer than the shoulder level, cos this is following the nature of the woman, as in wearing earring, necklace, gold etc.

No. it is not, In Islam people should dress in a way so that they would not attract the other people, i mean the other gender, and also they should be neat & tidy & always clean, and of course smell good. I think there's no problem for long hair, as i see many boys in my country with long hair,(I live in an Islamic country)

no of course, prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had a long hear, it was covering his ears, however, this vary from one time to another, also it's usually about the culture not about the religion (whether the religion considers it haram or halal)

hope it helps

No, it is not. Prophet Muhammad (May Allah Exalt His Mention) is reported to have long hair.
