Some Christians think they are better than everyone else
Some Wiccans think they are better than everyone else
Some Atheists think they are better than everyone else

So most of the people think they are better than everyone else

But God will decide who the best person is.

Well its it is a mater of opinion whether hell exist or not, as something you cannot prove or dis prouve. But there are people like that in all walks of life. There are a lot of people at this forum that
think the same, About christians*.

*"and thinks because I am wiccan that for some reason cannot think for myself"

The best policy is just to be your own person and don't sweat what others say.

he isn't really a Christian then. he shouldn't judge you unless he's ready to be judged for the same thing. No truthfull Christian would go "you're going to hell if you don't repent now!!!" And Christians are taught in the Bible to know that you shouldn't want material things you don't need. That instead, you should be humble; wear humble clothing instead of anything to attention grabbing or skin baring. Those who must compete to keep a certain amount of objects isn't doing the work of God.

Just b/c someone says they're a Christian doesn't make them one. If they don't act like Christians why put them in the same category as the rest? That's like if I went up to a person and said hey I'm tom cruise. you wouldn't believe me. Why believe people when they say they're something when clearly you can see they're not?

Well first let me say I am a Christian and hell does exist....but yes I understand your problem. I absolutely despise people like that. It is exactly why I don't go to church. Christians are known for there "preaching" at others, and really I can not stand it. I am sorry you have to deal with your bible thumping family member. Just tell him you'll cast a spell on him or something....maybe that will shut him up...lol

Yes, I know they are annoying sometimes, but they do believe in something that makes them happy. You have found something to believe in to an makes you happy and content. Because he believes the way he does, he thinks that spreading the word will spread his joy. So tell him you love him very much but you have found your happiness to and to be christian is not to judge others. Christians have a hard time drawing the line between judging and spreading the word of God with people. Thank him for his good words, and you understand he has done his best to save you from hell. But you are more than happy with your beliefs and so the Christian thing so do is to let person loves of ones religions lie. Then mix up a portion of good will and send him on his way. Good Luck

Your relative is, sadly, all too typical of modern evangelicals. They are taught in their churches that they are better than everyone else. He is basically just taking the straight party line. They believe you can't think because they are honestly incapable of understanding that it is possible to think, yet not think like they do. I've been often called inarticulate because what I said could not be construed in any way with agreeing with them. There is pretty much nothing you can do, he won't change, he won't stop, nothing you do or say will get through to him, all you can do is be patient and trust to the Goddess. Blessed be, and good luck.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on!

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.

When I say... "I am a Christian I am not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's grace, somehow.

Share these sweet words with others so that the myth that Christians
think they are "perfect" or "better than others" can be dispelled.
May your day be filled with many blessings ~Palms 91:1

I hope in some way this gives you a better understanding no one on earth is perfect no a new, or and old christian. :-)

he's an idiot.... tell that coming from a true-blue Roman Catholic like i am... never listen on anyone insisting his faith as better than others. they're mere hypocrites out to desecrate the message of the holy bible which they are interpreting wrong. the holy bible teaches humility and respect to all men, then why doesn't he practice it if he is a real christian?

forgive my outbreak... it hurts that people use the bible or any religion for that matter as means so they could be heard. i may be bereft of humility and respect in doing judgment, but hey, someone must correct people's impression of a true christian's practice of faith.

IF THEY THINK THAT they are sitting in judgment of others and It's likely that they won't be in heaven either. What matters is your relationship with GOD and your personal relationship with others and yourself. You have to be convicted in your own heart
as to if Wicca is wrong or not. That's not a judgment call for him. You have to read the word of God and ask your spirit what is right. If then you feel you need to change, that will come. Your walk will let you know. Until then tell your uncle to read the word of God and study the parable of the camel. Keeping up with the Jones becomes less important if he's not living right ...otherwise
if not....It is not wrong for a man of God to prosper in wealth. We don't have to take a vow of poverty to serve God. Study the book of malicah and see what happens to those that don't give to God what is his....and That stand in judgment of others.

All religious extremists think that they have a mandate direct from God, making them superior to everyone else. It has been a major problem in history ever since man invented religion, and today it seems to be getting out of control. Actually, these extremists are the manipulated pawns of religious leaders.
