I sleep 6 hours now and want to reduce it to 5 hours at least for 2 months to makeup time on a project.Don't tell me I am already short on sleep.I do not do any manual labour

Sure, Provigil is a good one, but you MUST see your doctor and talk about your sleeping problems and why you need to "control" how long you're sleeping. Could be other issues here. You'll need a prescription for any of the good and safe ones anyway.

Are you falling asleep unexpectedly (like at work, driving) or sleeping too much? If so, see a doctor. Every person is different and have different things going on with their bodies.
For instance: my boss is one who falls asleep at his desk and while driving, while I am posting on the internet at 3:30 am.

nothing advisable comes to mind but it makes me wonder why they haven't developed a nano-alarm clock that could fit inside
a capsule... I guess those old fashion bedside alarms just don't get it anymore ...
