Check this out:
2 Timothy 3 : 1-4 wich says
"But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God.
Unfortunately this sounds awfully familiar, but do you think this is just a phase? Here's my arguments for it:
A. Societies have their ups and downs don't they? I have faith in a reform inspired by the legacy of dedicated leaders that are doing their best to turn things around whether it be collapse of the family or global warming. I'm frightened and skeptical, but I have faith.
B. Even if our country collapses from lack of moral structure, it doesn't mean the whole world does.

So do you think this is terrible sure fire omen, or do you think things will eventually get better and the apocolypse occur in the distant future when things are bad again?
Also, does "the end times" really refer to the apocolypse, or does it mean the days between Jesus's birth and his return?

i definately believe the last of days is comming, but i don't think they are upon us now, if they are then it is going to be a very long time until the end actually arrives. the world has been suffering with these things practically since the beggining of the human race.

In Genesis 6:5-13 states that God said that the Lord saw how great was man's wickedness on earth, and how no desire that his heart conceived was ever anything but evil, He regretted that He had made man on the earth, and His heart was grieved. Thus He flooded the world and started over with only Noah's family.
Man has always done evil and always will. I think it's in our blood now. I've read Revelation many times and I see history and future in it but I have no idea when Jesus will come again. Though, I won't be surprised if He comes within the next 50 years. We have let Satan become too powerful and he's enjoying it all. I don't know how God is able NOT to destroy it all now. I would if I was God but thank goodness I'm not. I have little patience.

The bible talks about diseases from animals... Could that be interpreted as Mad Cow, and the Chicken flu? I think it is possible.
As for the lack of morals society is taking on, it does sound like what you speak of. There are a lot of things happening, but it is hard to say... There is supposed to be someone who is very charismatic, who everyone will follow, this person is said to be the anti-Christ. It is also said that Jerusalem will become the world capital.
Whether we are nearing the end, I am unconserned. I will continue being a Christian, and when my time comes, it comes.
CyberNara.
P.S. I agree you should not ask for only Christians to answer this. We are a free society, and anyone should be able to answer the question. You don't have to agree with what they say, but that is what freedom of speach is all about. When we start saying, "You can answer this but that person can't.", it causes teirs in society, (clicks), and that causes "pack thinking", (as in a pack of dogs).

Sorry, no rapture. As much as many want it, whats going on now is OUR mess.
They can quote and interpret scriptures until there are blue in the face, we are past the point of "end times"
If you really want to know the "End Times" is really just a "turning point" or a "Shift in Consciences" for life on this planet. But most here will not understand that.
So, what is this turning point?
We now have free will and are responsible fully for our manifestations on this planet. If we create chaos it is ours, if we create peace it is ours. We don't need to be rescued because we are now the rescuers.
We create our reality now...and right now its a mess...but no rapture.
By the way, you are part of the problem by stating "Only Christians" Do you see it? Until you do, will will just keep creating the same problems over and over!

Hi
It is the end of days for sure, and I have real faith in this.
You can know this from the things that are going on from wars and earthquakes and disasters.
Because all the things and signs that were given in the Bible about Jesus coming, had all occured. There are no more signs, and the Bible says that when those signs aa occure, I'm coming directly.
If you like to know about those signs, I can tell it to you by email:zsazsoo@yahoo.com
But Jesus is coming now, maybe at this moment or in just few days or weeks.
Just have a look about the war in Israel and Lebanon, this is a big sign!

If you read Revelations(sp*) you'll be able to tell the coming of The Rapture of the Church. There's usually many signs every single day but the more often that you read the more clear it becomes. If you have trouble understanding there's a book called "The Message" it isn't a word for word translation of the Bible but it's the closest one.
But it has a lot of flaws in it and has edited parts of the Bible out b/c it's trying to be a universal Bible(PC-version) which isn't a good thing if you want to know everything from KJV. Only read it if you need to and have trouble understanding the KJV.

I believe that we are indeed in the end times. The signs are in place, the people of the world have the right attitude...I look forward to the return of my Lord, Jesus, and the establishment of His kingdom on earth, then in heaven forever.

this keeps happening over and over again, every damn generation.
this is not the end of days.
people have been screaming that ever since people started to wonder what was going in the world.
if someone stupid launches that missile with the nuclear warhead on it, then it will be the end of days, for real.

in Hinduism it is said whenever the evil starts prevailing on earth god shall incarnate, so that the good prevails over evil , in past also there have been instances when the evil had become prevalent and incarnation had come to the earth , so it is his duty to come and save the world ,,,,,,,,,, the world cannot come to an end
