you can;t sleep bro...I have the same problem as well. I tried to link it to my lifestyle or diet and i found that i was drinking way too much of coffee. That must have been keeping me up at night.
SO try exploring if it is your lifestyle or it is your diet. Are you thinking too much as well. If you think before going to bed, there is no way you can easily fall asleep. Ok now for the question how to fall asleep. This two methods always work for me:
1) Drink milk before bed. That always induces sleep.
2) listen to some soft ballads. Sooner or later you will fall asleep.
3) this is additional that i haev heard but i do not know if it works. Try taking a real cold shower before bed. Feel fresh and then fall asleep.
4) I remember another one. Go for a quick 10 min jog. Once you are done, watch a little TV and you will automatically fall asleep.
Hope this was useful

First of all, what kind a job do you have? If you have an office job, working 8 hours on a computer, it's very understanding why can't you sleep. If so, after you go home and eat, you have to go out for a walk, for a half an hour. And you must not watch tv from your bed.
Bed is only for sleep. When you want to sleep, turn off the tv. This might help you.
And more: you must not eat after 6 or 7 pm. Only fruits or a glass of milk. You don't want to give your organs work to do during night. This can cause sleeplessness also. Or if you smoke or drink; these can't be done before sleep. They maintain you awake.

You can try counting sheep, which is the common method of doing it.
I've heard that sometimes, self-hypnosis of a sort will help to relax you, and you can fall asleep easier. One way of doing this is counting backwards from 999 and visualizing the numbers as you think them in your mind. Another way is picture yourself in a tall tower, walking down a spiral staircase and you're counting the stairs as you go down them. Or just picture some sort of scene in great detail, it helps.
I personally count backwards from 999, and usually, if i'm particularly tired, I get to about 950 and I'm asleep.
hope that helps :)

First off, gett off of Y!A. Second of all, try drinking some warm milk, either that or some sleepy time tea. If that doesn't work, head for the tylenol p.m's. Just don't take too many. Take1-2 at bedtime

Try drinking hot Chamomile tea. It relaxes your body and mind. Set up the mood by using scented candles. These will also help you calm your body. clear your mind as you lie down on your bed.

I had a problem with this to..... try having a cup of warm hot chocolate. TRY not to eat anything before you go to bed because this can keep you up all night.
If it dosen't help then maybe you should go and see your doctor. He will offer you sleeping pills.
