I have tried both ways and they are both hard but In the long run I think you should tell them face to face. You can stop calling/answering but 1. they might not get the hint and still be calling 3 months for now. 2. You might face them in reality and then the uncomfortable questions start poppin out.."I called you and you haven't called me back, what's up?" So you'd have to tell them or lie and be like...."Oh you did?! I have been so busy..." then they start calling again. It's best to be upfront and honest. It's hard but you'll live! Good Luck.

it is easier to do the stop calling thing but if you've been going out with someone for more than a couple of weeks you owe it to them to tell them face to face that you no longer want to be with them. By doing it any other way is disrespectful and a good way to end up with people hating you because you're a coward.

The most sincere way is to do it face to face, especially if the relationship was a long one and had a good run. But, the only exception to that, in my opinion, is if you are leaving this person because he cheated on you or screwed you over in some unforgiveable way. In that case, I feel you don't owe that person anything, have no obligations to them, and you can just avoid calls.

to stop calling and answering calls is the coward way out. I think if you want to leave someone you just have to tell him/her in the face and discuss it in a civilised way!

You should always be honest. You're going to have to use your judgment on this one. Some people can become quite angry and aggressive, be careful. There are people you can talk to gently about your need to move on and there are times when you just have to disappear and leave a note.

Let's put it this way - if someone decides to leave YOU, how would you want them to let you know? Sometimes "empathy" is important; meaning to put yourself in the other person's shoes. Think about it :)

maybe u can tell the person on the phone.face to face seem hard to say it out. this is what i feel.

I'd recommand you to just say it in the face .. maybe its hard but you won't have to hide everytime you run into him/her accidentally somewhere ... anyways just do it .. and take it easy on him/her
