chances of me getting the disease? Is it as strong as on a mother's side? My father's sister and father's mother had breast cancer in mid life. Will I get it or is it only if the mother's side had it? I'm 35 by the way. My mother's side has no history of breast cancer whatsoever.

I have heard that cancers/deformities/illnesses can "skip" generations (sides?)- You are one step up for being aware- I always sit straight up- family back problems....its working.

IM not sure if hte side of the family makes a difference but I do know that a history of it in the family increases your risk but FOR SURE does not garantee you will get it....get regular check ups & so at home checks & just keep on top of it, Im sure you already know early detection is the best way to beat it
