The main purpose of mankind is to take care of everything that is around us. Fellow humans, animals, plants, our habitat, everything that is living and non-living in this world. As long as it is here on this earth, we, the stewards of God, are responsible for everything around us. Pardon the religion, just using it as a basis for my answer.
