Yes.Any religion that does not call for worshipping of a deity could have atheist members. The word Atheist is from the Greek word Theos, meaning God, or deity. An 'A' preceeding the word means 'without', hence meaning 'without God, or deity".

What you see is not as real as God. What you see should prove to you there is a God. If you try and tell me we just became without a creator then you need to go rethink some things. Ask any athiest how the whole universe came about to exist and I mean every galaxy, planet and star, also the ones still being created. Ask how the earth has one set speed it is to turn and one set speed to rotate around the sun. Also the sun is just at the right distance for life to be sustained here on earth which includes billions of diverse lifeforms (That according to athiests just popped out of nowhere or crawled out of the Ocean). Is it all just coincedence? Also ask them to get an empty mason jar and set it in their house and go back to the jar 20 or 30 years later or more if needed and see whats in it..........you know what would be in it? Still nothing. You have to have a Creator and it scares athiests.
Also for the big bang theory supporters........where did the material that went bang come from and the energy to make it go BANG? I'll tell you, God created it and he may have made a "BIG BANG" out of it to put it where he wanted it I won't dispute that because the Universe is still expanding. All in all the athiests have too many questians to answer themselves that the Bible already explains. I'd rather believe there is a God and die and if there isn't I will then lose nothing but if there is a God and Creator and I've argued to people he isn't then I lose alot. Think it over friend. Are you really sure about denying God? The evidence is against you. The Bible, the only Holy written word of God explains all things past, present and future. There is no excuse for not having the knowledge, it's there.

Atheism is a Religion.

I Think that for every mountain that there is no a Religious symbol There should be one with a CROSS or an other religious symbol.

Seriously, They want to have crosses removed from war memorials. It just so happens that here in California the biggest supporters of the Mount Solidad Cross are Jewish. And they said that it was an appropriate symbol for a war memorial because it symbolises the ultimate sacrifice.

I mean we should have at least equal time.
If they really did not believe in anything why are they so passionate about fighting what Christians believe?

I don't see them protesting yoga or palm reading or horoscopes.
Perhaps atheists only have a problem with the mainline religions or maybe just with Christians.

Anyhow like I said at the beginning of this post. Atheism is a religion and the passion that they put into fighting anything Christian, Proves that. Otherwise they would spend their time and energy living their life and not waisting time on anything supernatural. Don't you agree?

God Bless you, ;-)

They can if they want to. They CAN join any in existence and even one they make up if they feel like it.

Secular humanism is thought to be a religion... there's also the Church of Reality and/or "worship" of a spoof deity like the Invisible Pink Unicorn or the Flying Spaghetti Monster. They could even become an ordained minister online in about 2 minutes... it's true.

The only thing I can think of, is of course they CAN, if they choose to believe in a God(s). Nothing stopping them from joining a religion other than their own non-beliefs. Can think of no particular religion except maybe those I have heard about that worship the elements of the earth and nature (many years ago and of which I am extremely ignorant about) but can think of no specific organization.

An Atheist could join Satanism.
The reasoning is that (in the LaVey vein anyway) Satanism is essencially Atheism Delux. Satanism takes a rational, atheistic view on religion and adds a bit of pagentry in order to include those people who just need ritual in their lives.

Traditionally, atheism was the rejection of the Judeo-Christian conception of God, though it has now acquired a much broader meaning. Atheists of that mold could, conceivably, join a religion, though Islam would likely be too similar to Judaism and Christianity. Most people today who see themselves as atheists would likely reject everything they identify as a religion.

Men are not born theist or atheist.
When he has not learned enough to believe the One True God, he claimed himself to be atheist. When he got conscious knowledge to believe, he claimed to be theist. When he lived the religious life and realized his close relartion to God, he claimed to be a believer. When he returned to God with his pure soul, he knew that he is utter nothingness before the glory of God. From beginning to the end he is a man, a spiritual being, a mysterious creation of God. That is truth, undeniable truth.

I suppose an atheist would believe in science and reason as being the 'supernatural'

So not a religion in the classical sense.

They can join any religion they want. All they have to do is convince the religious party that he/she gives a
ratsass and pretend to go along with it.
Or they could change their opinion and really become a believer of given religion.
