in the time of Kings, Temples were built to give work for ppl, and during flood / rain / emergency / war the homeless ppl we made to stay there.
But now a days ppl have started to make Money in the name of God and Temple.
If you beleive in God i donot agree with you that temple is the place where God lives.
Instead of building new temple and fight in the name of relegion and God, we can build some orphanage, shelters for the poors to live........................

We have that problem here in the U.S. We bulldoze and implode perfectly good, but old, buildings and build something new that we then design not to last more than 15-20 years before it, too, is bulldozed so that yet another building may be built, all to make developers and bankers and trade unions "happy". It's madness, a madness of graft and greed and appalling waste.

Yes, there are many great ancient temples neglected. This is one setback in Hinduism, where people only think of self instead of common interest (Hinduism). There should be awareness among Hindus to protect and renew their places of worship instead of building new temples.

building a temple means making some kind of powerful energy concentrated at a single place.so, it is necessary.but what you have said is also correct as we have to do this with saving the already existing temples

i once read about an Indian poet who said,
man may worship Ram, Allah or Christ,
man may go to Makkah, gurudwar, or temple,
man may search the whole world for his Lord,
but man fails to realise that God is within him.
it does not matter who u follow, what u follow, how u worship, but whats important is that how u serve ur God's creation. hope i have made my point clear to u.
