I know when most people claim they are pimps and pimpettes and players and so forth, they are not claiming to be real pimps. So, what does it really mean for a girl or guy to be a pimp nowadays? Are they just "players" who cheat and play head-games, or what? What is pimping?

The word pimp has taken on a whole new meaning in current pop culture.... just ask anyone over 40. They are horrified when they hear things like 'Pimp my Ride' or 'It's hard out here for a Pimp'. But in all seriousness, the world of prostitution can be sad and depressing. People claim that it is a victimless crime and it empowers women to get money... Blah, Blah, Blah. No matter what- it is sad to see a girl offer to suck a mans @#*^ for $5, just so she can get her next fix... because usually prostitution and addiction go hand in hand....
