ok. i have 4 friends. stephanie, rashelle, robert and jesse (guy). Rashelle likes robert, robert likes stephanie, stephani likes jesse. how can they be happy without an argument? i know it's complicated.

This isn't complicated. Have them be honest about their feelings. You're complicating this by supposing there'll be an argument. You first need to establish who's interested in whom, as your question is incomplete. Jesse might not be interested in dating Stephanie. If that is the case elsewhere in this, than the only real issue is maturity. If person A wants to date person B and person C wants to date person A, and A refuses C, as B refuses A, C and A should move on. Give your friends a chance to handle this maturely.
After the probable dates have been set, there can be individual or group dates.
There really shouldn't be an argument, just disappointment or joy.
