"Humanity " Your children should follow humanity.

And religion can never be a barrier between true love.

Yes, religion is a barrier. Maybe not so much now, but if you have kids together you'll definitely find out.

You ask the right question at the right time: which religion would your children follow? One or the other of you would probably have to give in to the other--and probably feel resentment, or maybe even make the kids some kind of eternal battleground.

Talk about that with her NOW, and see if there's a future for the two of you.

The good news is that every religion has its problems, and I think every one can be abandoned.

Why are you two together in the first place if religion is so important? You must both believe that the other is excluded from God.

It's definitely a serious barrier - I'm an atheist and most seriously religious people could never date me because of that. Their loss, I say.

Depends on which one you choose for your children to follow. Children generally pick up on their mom's religious ideas because they spend more time with their mothers.

it doesn't have to be, but when people have children there will be arguments over what religion they should take up. perhaps let them choose when they are older. aunt is catholic, uncle atheist and one day the kids decided not to go to church anymore. aunt was pissed to the high heavens
