Yes, I am a Phobe but not so bad anymore. My best friend is a clinicnal psychologist but I got help free and I am thankful. I used to be terrified of Black Widow spiders. I would scream run and I felt they were all over me if I saw them. Behavior modification and biofeedback is the answer for those monied. She gave me free treatment. She empowered me to know that I am bigger than them and they are more afraid of me than I of them. I bought a 30 ft. sprayer and began to kill them. I saw them crumple and die. From 30ft. away I was okay. Then she would take me to desert haunts rife with the things. They come out in the dark and she would shine a flashlight. I'd be going nuts and she'd remind me that I had my spayer. So I got it. She made me watch "Arachnophobia". I made me sick but I got through it TWICE. The essence is to slowly face the fear and eradicate it. And it can be done using these techniques. I used to be so afraid of the dark. I used to sleep with every light in the house on because an intruder almost broke into my apartment with a knife before I married my first husband. I was so scared, packed up and moved immediately. My fiance enrolled me in kickboxing and Jujitsu. That way if I was attacked then maybe I could use those tools to get the horrid intruder away from me. I started to become empowered again. At 5'10" I could kick some butt and recently I dumped a bloody mary on a spider. You might BE seeing ghosts. I do. But they aren't out to get you. Just treat em' regular, tell them they are dead, and they'll keep a low profile in your life. They may even leave. Screaming and yelling isn't the answer (I should know). If you are seeing dead ghosts, fine. Talk to them. But, in not being rude, have you have a medical evaluation? Do you know that you can command in the Name of Yahshua to make those ghosts go away and they will. Try it. In the name of the Lord, they must leave. And I'll leave you with this: I don't want any trouble in my home. I painted Yahshua on my door and hung a lovely wreath over it. I have picture of the Christ hung above my desk. I have clock with our Lord hangong on a cross on my computer desk. It's nice; the edges are beveled. I have a wonder sculptred "Last Supper faning on my bedroom wall and two "angel angels"' they are brass with cherubs and hooks are the sytle above the hooks so that youy can see the cherub. One supports my wedding bouquet and one suports my Grandmother's necklace circa 1928. I have curtains (cafe style in my roon. I have a floral arrangement draped across it). Two Celtic porcelain crosses and hang on each end of the cutrain rod. So, I am protected. Plus, I have a dog. One problem and she is in red alert. She's a broder collie and sense just about anything. I have a Cletic cross by my husband's clock. I have blessed Holy Water that I dab on daily and a little book called "Faith worketh by love", anoth tiny book called, "Verses of comfort, assurace and salvation". I may sound nuts but this house is 100% protected by evil. No evil may enter my premises. I whish the best for you. Empower yourrself by using God and see what happens! Good luck.! He saved me.

I have suffered with claustrophobia since I was a baby. My mom would push the stroller into the elevator and I would scream the second the doors closed and stop when they opened. I am 35 and STILL working on these. I once climbed 17 flights of stairs just to avoid the elevator. The only reason I believe the elevator one has gotten better is I have two children and I cannot "freak out" or I will pass my fears on to them. I also cannot ride in the back seat of a car if it does not have 4 doors....on top of the claustrophobia I have a fear that the car will go off a bridge into the water and I won't be able to get out. That one I can't really figure out....and have had that one since childhood as well.
I have a fear of spiders not sure you would call it a phobia though, heaven forbid I think one might be crawling on me....I am getting the heebie geebies just thinking about it. I don't really like heights either.....and pretty much stay away from them. I have a fear of flying...have always had that as well.
As for getting rid of them...not sure if you can ever get rid of them completely........ I just know I can't let them control me.

Shrinks tell us that phobias are masking the real, deeper problems in our lives. Seeing a therapist is a good place to start; a christian therapist if possible. I have no use for the humanists, or new age garbage. That stuff is like instant mashed potatoes: okay if you can't get the real thing, but not recommended. I still suffer from arachnaphobia and agoraphobia. These play into my deeper problems of depression and anxiety. Talking about it helps. Talking to a caring professional helps even more. One thing to remember - there are no quick-fixes when it comes to mental health. It took most of us a lifetime to get screwed up, and you can't fix it overnight. Hang in there! It could be worse! Of course, that is just something else to fear, isn't it? LOL and LOL

I am also afraid of heights, but I don't want to overcome my phobia because I ve learned to live with it! I like very much all the extreme games that have to do with heights, that's the point. Phobia and adrenaline!!! Sky diving, bungee and mountain parachute! Every time is better than the last time!

I am afraid of large insects, especially grasshoppers and cicadas. Just typing those words made me shudder. I'm also afraid of heights, although I'm better about that than I used to be, for some reason. And, this one's very strange, I don't like stairs you can see through. (Treads with no risers or stairs made of metal grating.) Fear of falling, same as with heights, I guess. Everyone has things they're afraid of. It's when the dread of those things becomes irrational and interferes with your daily living that you ought to do something about them.
