I am not sure that the numbers of "perverted" people is any different as a percentage of the population. Its just part of the human condition. It sound like in your perception of reality you are just becoming more aware of it.
A pedophiles, however, I think has a special place in hell or should. The despicable behavior of someone who would destroy the innocents of another childhood is a crime that should be punished to the fullest extent of the law always.

There are many ways a person can be labled "perverted" I think someone heavy into drugs or weapons is perverted. If sex is the issue, I feel as long as it does not include children or animals it's up to each and every person, how much, when, where, or with who they have sex. Isn't this sick, Mary Jo Latourneu was convicted as a child molester, served prison time, violated her parole, returned to prison, and when she was released, she was allowed to marry her victim. Thats a PERVERT.

Haha, I find your statements hillarious. I honestly think we see more pervs for different reasons, but I have a theory:
I think it is mostly a sexual issue. Women nowadays are really picky, just like you, I bet you don't date "poor" guys, your guy has to have certain kind of social status or certain look, and I think that's the problem. Women look for men with good looks, money or material possesions, at least with enough money to take you out for dinner and a lot, A LOT of men can't even feed themselves and are certainly ugly, since they don't meet the acceptable social and physical status to get laid they don't get sex and they feel rejected by every woman they meet. Lack of sex makes people irritable and eventually "weird", they become socially unaceptable.
Dissapointment drives them to commit acts against nature like raping women or kids. Kids are easy targets since they won't say no, they don't even know what's going on to begin with, that makes the weirdo feel accepted, raping a woman makes them feel good about themselves. And isn't that what everybody looks for, to fit in to feel good about yourself?.
Anyways, that's only a theory, of course you have the other kind of weirdos that are weirdos just for the pleasure of it, those are total nut cases. :p
