Are most of these pro illegal from Mexico? Have ties to Mexico? Have connections to Mexico? Why do pro illegal act as if the entire country of Mexico should be allowed in? Why isn't Mexico calling out to other countires for food aid? You'd think that with the natural resources Mexico has, and being coterminous with the U.S., they would easily surpass America as the most powerful nation on earth. ?

It's so much cobblers ... the Mexican government is corrupt, we all know that, but does that mean that the United States will have to pick up the pieces? There are jobs in Mexico, but taking the exchange rate into account, they of course earn more here ... and the example of New Orleans is a bad one, since the community there are pissed off that the building contracts didn't go to local firms ... instead illegal immigrants were lured in to do the work ... in the case of New Orleans, it wasn't a case of not "wanting" to do the job, it was a matter of not getting the contracts, which went to firms hiring illegal aliens ...
Mexico doesn't need food aid, it's the 13th richest country in the world ... and I fully agree, we have taken our full share of LEGAL Mexicans here, we don't need any more illegal ones ... it's getting totally ridiculous, and why the pro amnesty people on this board are so willing to aid and abet greedy corporations to establish a permanent underclass is beyond me ... I thought they posed as humanitarians?
Angela ... really? They do pay them above the minimum wage? And yet I thought you said in your previous question that they worked for little or NO pay? You can't have your cake and eat it you know ....
Alberto .. all I can say is ... dream your little dream ... illegals get work because they are illegals, with no comeback whatsoever ... no union, no pension plans, no health care ... get real, do you really think employers would hire them if they burnt a bigger hole in the employers' pockets??

Uh, no. I work two jobs, thank you. And the main one is for the State of New Mexico. Is that a job that an American wouldn't do??? Does that not sound American to you? Does it sound like I am an illegal from Mexico??? Kiss my @$$.

i am pro Amnesty, & i work in a lab for a chemical company, but i didn't have to compete w/anyone for my job, i was already qualified because of my education that I as an American took advantage of. i will not apologize to u or any other anti-amnesty person for not having to compete for a job, or for going to school or for living a decent life, or living comfortably. no i will not apologize, i have what i have because i earned it-nothing was handed ot me on a silver platter!! i however will apologize for ignorant & hatefilled uneducated Americans- so sad!!!

I don't compete with an undocumented worker, am self employed....I have no ties to Mexico, all my family is here.....Mexican govt doesn't care for its people. Its not about resources, its about a corrupt govt. I am not sure what your question is.....Other than another rant.....
I am first generation Mexican and I have no more relatives in Mexico, they are all here, legally...My mother in law moved to Canada.....What does it matter? My point is your on another one of your rants.....Where is your question?
Sashie I don't condone unethical contractors....They should go to jail....They are not building an underclass,however, they do pay them above minimun wage....get real! They also hire undocumented workers, you can't blame the workers for trying to work....I say give them amnesty so they can pay into social security...Whats more humanitarian than that?
I stand corrected, some contractors pay above minimun wage, others don't as you see in New Orleans, it made national news...

Farmworker. Try finding Americans that will do that job at the prevailing wages. And, no, the wages are not especially low - in most parts of the country it's noticeably higher than the minimum wage.
