You guys need to have a serious chat. Each of you obviously have little idea what the other is thinking. You need to sit him down and talk about what his problem was. Don't be afraid to apologise for anything, you may need to.
If he's just completely ignoring you, like won't talk to you at all, then I question how good of a boyfriend he is. Perhaps you should do.

Well, you told him to shut up and now he won't talk to you. Sounds like he is only doing what you told him to do!!! Just kidding. I do not know the whole situation but it sounds like he is being immature. I would apolgize to him. Something like, "I am sorry if you thought I was disrpecting you. That was not my intention." If he cannot accept that then you have larger problems than getting the silent treatment.

I think your boyfriend needs to lighten up. People laughed... it was funny... but if you like him that much just apologize and get this crap over. Things happen, people over react and just get this in the past.
